ICE ICT have been our trusted IT vendor in supporting us through some major technical projects during the last 12 months both on our ships and on shore. Collaboration building an exceptional service – since outsourcing our IT service desk to ICE ICT the quality of service has improved around the clock. Most importantly we see this is a partnership between ICE ICT and the Hurtigruten internal IT team. We both see ourselves as one single IT team, use the same tools, we share knowledge, documentation and support each other. It is a relationship built on trust and integrity.
Infrastructure enhancements in challenging environments – Hurtigruten has ambitious IT related goals and ICE ICT have always been able to find the resources to deliver a number of key infrastructure upgrade projects regardless of where our ships are in the world. Projects that they have shown their expertise and commitment whilst keeping impact to our daily 24/7/365 operation to a minimum are our desktop upgrade project, core ship network upgrade project and providing a wireless shore to ship communication solution for our main port Bergen.
Improving Vendor relationships – Like any large shipping line Hurtigruten have a large and complex application stack with much integration. As part of their Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) service ICE ICT understand, document and explain the complete stack on shore and ship and have been excellent in managing the interactions between vendors of the various applications and systems. This has had a positive impact on our relationships with our other suppliers by significantly reducing disputes allowing us to focus on enhancements and looking to the future.
Commitment to our Fidelio Cruise implementation – We are nearing the end of implementing Fidelio Cruise across our whole fleet and throughout the project ICE ICT have remained truly committed to the project’s success. Due to the nature of the multi-port product the solution required some significantly complex on-line integrations and bespoke modules. ICE ICT have worked closely with Fidelio Cruise and other vendors to ensure a positive user perception and successful roll-out of the system.
