ICEbreaker September 2017 – How ships avoid hurricanes and why AI is like teenage sex

by Ian Richardson | September 30, 2017 | ICEbreaker | 0 Comments

Hello and welcome to our monthly newsletter, ICEbreaker from ICE, the travel technology IT consultants.

This month’s highlights include how light technology is changing the way driverless cars see, how ships avoid hurricanes and why AI is like teenage sex.

To mark our 10th birthday in the travel tech space we reviewed the big changes in our industry and analysed how travel will change in the future. Happy reading.

We’re travelling a lot this autumn and would love to meet up for a drink (or two) with you if you’re there too. We’ll be at the 42nd Annual InterFerry Conference in Split from 8th – 11th October. Richie then heads to Amsterdam for the World Summit AI conference with Michael Kilty of eTestware, our new outsourced software testing company based in Estonia. In early November, Conor will be attending the Gartner Symposium ITxpo in Barcelona. Email Lois and she can help set up a meeting.

Until then,

Ian Richardson (Richie) and Conor Byrne
(ICE’s founders)
